Adding funds to your SWAP Wallet

There are three simple ways to move funds into your SWAP Wallet

1. Bank transfers (EFT) from any bank account
Please note that these account details are valid for electronic bank transfers (EFT deposits) and Internet banking transfers only – over-the-counter cash or cheque deposits are not possible.

Transfer funds to:
ABSA Brooklyn
Account 4072514772
Account name: SWAP
Beneficiary reference: Your cellphone number
(The cellphone number associated with the Wallet to which you are transferring funds
must appear as the Beneficiary Reference)

Use standard or international format,
e.g.: 0821234567 or +27821234567

(No charge)

2. Wallet-to-Wallet transfer

This option allows for transfers between any two SWAP Wallet holders. The holder of the donor Wallet dials any SWAP Code and selects the Wallet-to-Wallet transfer option (select SWAP > My Wallet).

The transfer value is available immediately in the receiving Wallet.

(No charge)

3. Add Funds to your Wallet (Linked bank account required)

Using your on-phone SWAP menu, this option lets you submit an instruction to have funds added to your SWAP Wallet via a once off debit order against your registered bank account. You define the Add Funds amount each time you use this facility. An Add Funds transfer may take up to five business days to reflect in your SWAP Wallet.

(R5-00 per Add Funds transaction, charged to your SWAP Wallet balance)

Of course, if your Wallet funds are depleted, there’s an instant solution. With a linked credit card or cheque card, you can choose to pay at any time from your available funds or credit limit.
